You hear the catch terms light level, focal point, traffic flow, feng shui and so on. What do they mean to you and your sense of personal space and style? As a professional designer, my function is to help focus a client's thoughts on these elements of home construction or renovation and, if
necessary, mediate between a couple’s differing ideas. Although I too have a favorite personal design style, I am able to remain objective using my extensive knowledge of space planning, function and product information to creatively work with individuals to achieve a home that is uniquely theirs.
What can a designer or architect do for you? We expedite your ideas, create options for floorplans and exterior facades and maximize your construction budget. Just as when fashion shopping, you know what you like, you know your budget, you try it on, and if you like what you see, you proceed to make the purchase. Our design team examines your wish list, knows your construction budget, prepares rough sketches to illustrate possible options and then creates detailed drawings to communicate the design intent, which can then be taken to your contractor.
There are several computer programs that will allow a homeowner to design their own homes. I have seen the drawings that homeowners have created and, although they look nice, they are usually not well designed. Allow yourself to maximize your construction budget, get a fresh perspective
and obtain a unique personalized design by hiring a professional designer and architect.
